I think this video is real cool and so like the weird, over the top stuff that is in vogue right now. They all look deranged lol. I especially like Nicki Minaj when she says  " U know i graduated  summa cum Laude, thats why they thinking i'm a lumanati" lol!

Justin Beiber feat Nicki Minaj - Beauty and A Beat ( out now)

Yup, I know, another Nicki Minaj collaboration, she's everywhere, everyone wants to work with her, oh wait maybe not everyone (Lil' Kim)

I am not a beileber, but this songs not bad, compared to his debut song and other hits, it seems like Justin Beiber is trying to proof he is now a man, well he is 18 now, thats the new 21, but he still can't vote so i'm not so sure. Like an artist should, he is growing and evolving and so is his music, but only time will tell wether he will be around just as long as his mentor and superstar Usher, who has managed to re-invent himself and still stay current. Justin may be doing well musically, but it seems like all is not well on the romance side. From what i have read in the daily mail, his long term girlfriend, singer and actress Selena Gomez dumped him last weeek.

I did not see this coming, but knew it would happen at some time, could never see them being together forever. Apparently Selena dosen't see Beiber as much, blaming the break up on their busy schedules, with him on tour and her filming in the States, and it is also believed that there is some trust issues, with believe that Beiber may have cheated on the disney star with a victoria's secret model after being spotted out together. Whatever the reason, to be honest do you blame him? Beiber is a POPSTAR! He's 18 and NOT BAD LOOKING ( he's not my type) , but for everyone else he is very handsome! So sorry Selena, but i'm not surprised.  And by the way, who do these celebrities think they are Denzel Washington/ Posh n Becks or something, you can't have it all, something's got to give, something has to suffer, so its about choice either work on the relationship and let the career suffer or work on the career and let...well you know....but trying to be in control of both will burn you out, just look at Taylor Swift, she keeps mixing business with pleasure, thats why her relationships don't last ( or maybe she has extremely bad taste in men or just likes bad boys aka John Mayor), every break up is turned to a song, I feel sorry for her next song, i mean prey, I mean man.

Neyo - let me love you ( out now)

Neyo is back, it seems to me that when Neyo is on the scene, Jason Derulo takes a vacation and vice versa ( I think they made a pact to stay out of each others way) lol. I love this song, I like the message behind it though, and the beat is infectious especially at the bridge. I've always wanted to know something, please vote below, ( personally, I think Michael Jackson is the greatest pop dancer of all time, but in terms of current living musicians, please choose from below and if you know any more please let me know) thanks x

Calvin Harris feat Neyo - Let's Go ( out now)

Yup, another Neyo song, gotta feeling his gonna be on the next one ( stay tuned). I like this track, it's a good club banger. David Guetta and Calvin Harris must be fierce rivals in terms of how many artist they have featured on their dance tracks, I think they are still neck and neck, Harris with Rihanna on We found love/ where have you been and Guetta with Usher - without you  and oh wait Rihanna - who's that chick.

Grime music, dub step, and Dance is coming back hard. Its like the 90's and early 2000's but with more innovation and auto tune. I still love my 90's dance anthems though - check out my post on Dance anthems in Music news ( coming soon). If you're an artist and haven't made any dance music or collaborated with these guys then you need to step up , seriously.

Connor Maynard Feat. Neyo - Turn around ( out now)

I know, sorry, another Neyo feature, he's the male version of  Nicki Minaj. Basically Connor Maynard is like the British version of Justin Beiber.  I actually think he's better looking. But anyway, I only found that out recently, honestly i thought he was american. He has done well, collaborating with Neyo will definately boost his music and celebrity credentials. He is talented, and just like beiber, has a strong female fan base ( not has strong has beiber thou, not sure if he has has much twitter followers) and their vocal range and songs are similar. This song is an average pop song, but its catchy and he's cute so ...


Okay another Neyo...just kidding  its Usher, Usher, Usher, yeah man...

His vocals are very high on this track, i like it, sounds angelic and operatic. He is famous for his love songs, which usually feature heavily on dilema. King of smooth rnb usher does not disappoint with this track, which reminds me of hits like u got it bad, let it burn, u make me wanna and confessions.


Usher- Scream

Love this song,  listen to this when i go jogging, it motivates me to keep going lol. Really upbeat, funky, dance tune. Almost as good as Yeah. My only concern is that like most of you may have noticed by now, Usher tends to start most of his dance tunes with usher, usher, usher, yeah man! It's like Jason Derulo, when  he says his name at the start of every song, and I am thinking, for God's sake, we know your name man, it tells us on the video at the start, stop reminding us, we don't have memory loss lol, but Jason Derulo is more annoying. Usher can still get away with it, cause it sounds sexy...

Chris Brown - Please Don't Judge  ( out now)

Yup, he's right when he says don't judge me, because there has been a lot of judging surrounding Chris Brown, since the infamous 2009 assault on Rihanna, but thats in the past, and i for one has stopped judging Chris Brown. WHY? You ask, well its primarily because he is a fantastic all round musician. He can sing, dance, write songs and is fit as hell. I love his music and thats what matters, he made a mistake and has been punished, what else do you want man! Chris Brown is talented, what he did was very wrong, but i'm sure he is more mature now and has learnt from his mistakes. As you know from reading my previous playlists or video uploads, I have several Chris Brown tunes in the mix. His most recent single, Please Don't Judge Me from the album Fortune, in my opinion is his way of  expressing himself and communicating, not just with his fans but also with the press and those close to him.  It could be his way of referring to his love triangle between Rihanna and ex girlfriend Karruche Tran or the assault from way back when, anyway the song is a slow, mid tempo ballad, with Chris's husky vocals, he is great at producing love songs, keep it up Chris Brown.

Nicki Minaj feat Chris Brown- Right by myside ( out now)

Really love this song, i like it when Nicki Minaj tones it down, strips it back, so her vocals can shine, some of her songs with her alter egos like Barbs aka Barbara is a bit OTT, sounds crazy and childish. But i can understand she is trying to be different and edgy. To top it off Chris Brown is on the song, and I have to admit, he is looking sexy here lol! Oh and Naz (the rapper) is her love interest in the video, suppose they are dating in real life.. hmm ok, stop, i don't want to start any rumours, but if its true, you heard it here first!



By the way check out this song by Nicki Minaj - I am your leader, the video reminds me of the 90's rnb era, with Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Da Brat, Foxy Brown, TLC and Lil Kim.



Oh and this is what i refer to when i say childish and OTT and its soo bad or funny, which way you take it that theres been many parodies on you tube on it.



Ashley Walters feat. Alesha Dixon - Your Love ( out now)

This song is really catchy, its out on 11th nov 2012, which is today, so i hope it makes it to the top 5 of next weeks official chart. Ashley walters (ex so solid crew member) has been away from the music scene for a couple of years now, but he's been keeping busy with acting, directing and producing. He's a man of many talents. I recently auditioned for one of his upcoming projects, a film called the Charlatans, which he will be directing. Just incase you are wondering, I didn't get a call back , but it was my first ever audition, i won't tell you what the films about, cause its not out yet, I could get sued or check wikipedia lol, but its gonna be great, maybe become a success like  Kidulthood and Adulthood.

MAYBELLINE FIT ME MINI FOUNDATION SAMPLE GIVEAWAY!

Hi guys, just watched a maybelline advert for a free giveaway of their new product fit me foundation, which also comes with a powder and concealer, matching the foundation number for your skintone. I am not a huge fan of foundation, primarily because it gets messy and makes me break out and can be cloggy. I do like a freebie so i'm gonna give it a try, you should too. Below is a link to the site, just follow the simple steps by choosing your shade/tone.  Since i'm dark skin, I ended up with 350 and 355, yes why not do it twice! The model for dark skins is Jessica White, apparently she wears shade 350 and she is not very dark. I'm quite apprehensive but i will see how it looks when the product arrives and let you know if it really is true to fit.

Beacuse its a sample, it will probably be quite small, im not sure of the size but each sample will last for 7 days. Not very long. Ive read a few reviews and some people say it's not good for oily skin and it's heavy and others like it saying it blends perfectly but yet again it does not last very long. I'm not sure about the retail price but it will probably be under £10, which is a bargain for a foundation. Hurry some of the fair and medium shades are out of stock!

There are songs, then there are songs. You know what i'm talking about, the songs you just cant stop listening too, that you listen once and cant get enough of. Or an oldie you hear whilst browsing through the music channels or radio stations, then you look it up and and thats when you start the obsession.

The following songs have become my "can't get enough songs", have a look maybe you will hear something new that you will become obsessed with. :)

Loving this song! Don't know much about Vince Kidd apart from the fact he has appeared on X factor in a boyband called futureproof and not to

long ago on The voice, Jessie J was his mentor and although he didnt win, I think he is doing better than the winner, who i can't even remeber.

The song is out on November 4. I heard this is a cover and that the original is better. If anyone finds the original please send me a link, i would

Natalia Kills

I don't know much about Natalia kills, but i love her music. Its like jessie j mixed with Rihanna and Lady Gaga. I don't know why she hasn't blown up in the charts like Rita Ora has,  I say this because her songs are clever, they have meaning behind them.

She is not "trying" to be something she isn't, honestly she is like a british version of Lady Gaga. She is experimental not only with her music but her fashion.

She writes her songs, and is creatively behind all her videos. she also has other talents outside music including experimenting with films, art and the stage, she tries to incorporate all this into her music to create the total experience. Oh and to cap it off she is very beautiful! Below are songs that i belief will be dominating the charts as we approach November, some are already hits lol.

Rihanna - Diamonds from her upcoming  seventh album Unapologetic, which is released on November 19...does she ever take a break!



This song is very optimistic. I love the message in it particularly the chorus “ we’re beautiful like diamonds in the sky”. The song is a change from her dance tunes of late, allowing her to show off her vocals, towards the end of the song, I even thought she sounded like Justin Beiber. A mixture of rnb, pop and soul. If this is what the first track off Unapologetic sounds like then this is sure gonna be another hit for Rihanna, especially since Diamonds has already debuted at N0.1 in the UK charts this week. More recent than future hit then I suppose. Have a listen below, and tell me what you think.



JLS-Hottest girl in the world ( right now) from upcoming album Evolution released
on 21 October.

Wow, that’s a huge statement to say to a girl that she is the hottest in the world RIGHT NOW..unless its officially proven aka like esquire, fhm..vanity fair, vogue etc. I doubt if a boy used this chat up line on a girl, that it’s going to lead to first date let alone ever wanting to see him again. It’s not insulting but it’s an overdramatic  statement that logically cannot be proven...unless you take all the girls in the world today and compare her to them.

But lets focus on the music, the vocals are good but like many JLS songs I feel that Aston merrygold carries much of the vocals, and he’s got the strongest vocals out of the four. The song is catchy, smooth rnb/pop sound with high pinched vocals by Aston. The song has received mixed reviews, some saying it’s a rip off of Justin Timberlake circa 2003, some saying it sounds like a motown song, which is a sure hit. Listen to it below and tell me what you think, I personally love the song.



Leona Lewis - Trouble: released on October 7 and the album Glassheart released on October 15

This song is typical Leona. The press has tagged her as the wholesome,  girl next door, can do no wrong, too nice, safe and boring.But i fear this tag won't be going anytime soon, not that she minds, as she recently said she liked being known for being sensible and is like that due to the environment she grew up in, that is East London- hackney . Unfortunately although i do like the song, it is quite boring and forgettable. the fact that it will be competing with the likes of Rihanna's diamonds and Adele's skyfall will see this struggle in the charts. I think Leona should stay true to who she is but try to experiment a little, after all, being an artist is about evolving, you can't do that by staying safe.



Adele - Skyfall, from upcoming James Bond film Skyfall.

This song is okay not great. For a James Bond theme, i find it quite bland and boring, I sat through it waiting for a huge chorus or bridge, like previous James bond themes, my favourite being Tina Turner's Goldeneye and Shirley Bassey's Diamonds are forever. But it did not happen, it seemed to have the same tone all the way through, sounded depressing tbh. I was expecting much more from Adele. But its not doing bad in the charts, debuting this week at no.4..guess who beat it to no.1..her name starts with the letters RI..i'll let you finish it off.



Christina Aguilera - Your Body from Album lotus, out now

This song is catchy. It is a typical average pop song. Christina debuts her more vuluptious figure in the video but its not the old school Christina, her vocals are not mind blowing and it feels outdated. She can do better.

FASHION ALERT!

Hi guys, I know, haven't been posting, actually i haven't posted for a few months now, what can i say, have been enjoying the weather lol. Just been doing what I like best, writing a wish list of shoes, bags, nail polish...well the list goes on. When i'm bored, I often find myself going to online retail websites eyeing up potential fashion items that i would like to buy when i get the chance. In my opinion, everyone should do this, its called planning ahead, if all women did this we would leave the house knowing exactly what to buy and where to buy it, saving you hours in one shop and slashing your day by half, not as quick as men but almost there, remeber walk first, not run lol.

The it jacket at the moment is mixed materials. I love jackets with leather sleeves. Its unique, bold and daring. It really stands out and looks like something a superstar would wear and it instantly upgrades any outfit you wear, however drowsy it looks.

Rihanna, is definately rocking the style below. If you want to copy her look for a reasonable price that won't set your credit card or overdraft into space, then get a copycat version with faux leather sleeves on ebay! I'm currently bidding.

I love bags. You know what they say: A girl can never have too many bags or shoes. My favourite places to shop for bags are river island, asos, house of fraser, matalan, warehouse and javari.

Below is a compilation of my favourite bags and purses from high street to designer. I think some will be hot this season, especially designs with glitter, studs, patterns and block colours. I always like simple chic, as it matches any outfit.

Designer bags ( my dream wish list)

I love a bargain. But with designer bags, I always believe one should be cautious and not easily fooled. If a bargain is too good to be true, then it possibly is. Buying designer goods online should in my opinion be brought from reputable websites such as harrods, house of fraser , asos, farfetch,javari, debenhams and selfridges. Unless you are good at spotting fakes, it would suck to get what you think is the real thing to find out later its a copycat. I would rather splash the dosh and be rest assured than save money and end up with a fake, after all its designer, unless you wait until christmas, it is unlikely they will sell for more than half price. My advise would be to buy designer goods in a store than online.

THE BRIT SCHOOL INVASION

The Brit School, has become a phenomenon over the past 10 years. But I have never stopped to think about the real dominance and influence the Brit school has in music history. Over the past 5 years, a number of  exceptionally gifted artists have emerged from this prestigious school, they include X factor winner Leona Lewis, Adele, Jessie J,  the late Amy Winehouse and most recently Rizzle kicks. By far the most successful out of those mentioned is Adele. Since her debut album 19, she has gone from strength to strength, recently winning six Grammys at the Grammy Awards. She has found fame on both sides of the pond and in Europe too.

This surge of talented 20 somethings is down to the Brit School situated in croydon. The alumni is endless, and i would be glad to part of it. My main concern is that these are the musicians that are making the most waves on the British charts. I think we should just forget the Endless number of talent show competitions on TV ( The Voice, starting on 24th march on BBC one, the notorious X factor on ITV, Britains got talent and Must be the music on Sky 1) and select youngsters from Brit school to audition instead. I will not be surprised if a Brit school documentary or reality tv show emerges very soon. I salute them.

OOTD ( Thats OUTFIT OF THE DAY BETWEEN YOU AND ME)

The ootd craze has been very popular on you tube. We are now in a generation of how do i do this.  Thanks to websites like ehow, where you can find how to pretty much do anything, even the most ridiculous and simple, common sense things. But thats the problem, we do not seek help from real people, like family members and friends or colleagues, we do not challenge our minds through trial and error.  Why? well because the internet has all the answers, and its all on a click of a button. There are some things people are too embarressed to talk about or curiously ask their friends, so i can understand if the internet is the first point of call.

But what worries me is that we are turning into a generation so reliant on the internet  to solve all our problems and give us answers, it makes us lazy and also effects communication skills, social skills and can even be a problem academically, in regards to plagiarism. But the main focus is out fit of the day. This title, which i first found baffling relates to people , mostly young women and teenagers posting videos of their outfits for a certain day on you tube. These videos show you how to dress like them, im sorry, but i do not need someone to tell me how to dress. But on the otherhand i must admit it is quite entertaining. And if i do see an outfit i like, i will try to find it, but i wouldnt want to get the entire outfit, maybe a few things like the accessories or shoes. Just imagine bumping into the person who posted the video and she recognises what you are wearing and asks if you have been watching her posts online. Thats a bit embarressing.

One of my friends has just started her ootd, a few months ago and she has started getting lots of hits on you tube. What i like about Whitney Bennets posts is the variety (she does casual to traditional african dresses),  she shows her target audiance ( female university students) how to dress on a budget, this includes, where to get the clothes from and close ups from different angles. LADY GAGA's STYLE EVOLUTION...TOO OTT (over the top)

Lady Gaga  is no doubt one of the biggest selling recording artist around. Since she came to prominence with her first single just dance from the album Fame in 2008, she has pushed the boundaries of fashion to the edge. Her avante garde, pop art, and attention seeking get ups have been entertaining but above all controversial. I have lost count of the number of  ridiculous outfits she has worn over the past 4 years. Four years is not a very long time, but it feels like she has been around for decades. Remember the telephone hat, the tea-cup phase, the meat dress, which offended a lot of vegetarians ( i still cant believe she wore raw meet to the VMA's) and her famous video telephone feat. beyonce, where she was almost naked with only tape to cover her modesty.

Unbelievably, her style has become a hit with her fans, who can't get enough and even celebrities like Christina Aguilera and Rihanna ( no surprise there) have been influenced by her style. I really don't understand why the papers compare the majority of female artists who try to reinvent themself as being a Gaga copy cat. I mean, Christina Aguilera has been around for 13 years and Rihanna has definately been around for longer than four years. So before gaga hit the scene, these two among others like Britney Spears have not only been dominating the charts, they've also been fashion chameleons and trend setters. So i'm tired of the papers , especially glossy mags and tabloiods comparing every female artsist who dares to be outlandish or rejuvinating a comeback to Lady Gaga.

I am a fan of her music but just like my post on Rihanna, i am not a fan of her fashion sense. So God help me if she even thinks of starting a fashion line, but on the other hand, it would probably be a controversial hit. It seems like everything she touches turns to gold, well we'll just have to see how long she lasts for, as i feel her music as somewhat lost its edge, and the fashion is taking over her top prority, the music.

Music makes me feel good, it is my counsellor and therapist. There is a sound for whatever mood you are in right now. Today is officially the second day of spring. I am feeling upbeat for now, anyway.

Adele Brits Speech Snub

Lady of the moment Adele was snubbed at the Brits ceremony as she made her acceptance speech for the most prestigous award of the night, Best British Album. The 23 year old singing sensation was interrupted a few seconds into her speech by host James Corden.

Brits organisers have expressed their apologies and so has host and actor/comedian James Cordan. Organisers say they were running behind schedule and were pressured to finish at the stated time of 10pm. After Adele's speech, 90's pop band Blur who were given the outstanding contribution to music award performed a medley set featuring some of their greatest hits.

This is one of the reasons organisers had to push for time. Adele, was said to be very furious and embarressed by the ordeal. She wasn't the only one.  Celebrities from all ends of the showbiz world, let out their rage on twitter.

Britains Got talent judge Amanda Holden said: "Biggest selling recording artist in the world And British, but we didn't have 'time' for her!".

Host james Corden said he was very upset that organisers pressured him into interrupting Adele's speech, he begged for them to hold it out a little longer, but they wouldn't nodge, it was out of his control. He said: " I delayed them for 15 seconds- they wanted to cut Adele short because time was really running out. "

This is no surprise the brits have a hsitory of clangers and controversy. Lets just hope next years ceremony runs more smoothly.

RIHANNA...GOOD GIRL HAS GONE BAD

Over the past 8 years, we have witnessed the reinvention of Rihanna, real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty . Since bursting onto the music scene as a 16 year old she has been working non stop to stay in the charts. I'm not going to lie, her music is infectious, i'm a big fan and hopefully look foward to seeing her at this year's wireless festival, fingers crossed, i'll let you know how it goes.

But there is one thing i am not a fan of, and i am sure the majority of sane women out there will agree with me, its her fashion sense.

Rihanna should be lucky she is making hits with her music in return making lots of money, because if her music was as bad as her dress sense, she would be on the dole by now. Her transformation over these past 8 years from pop's good girl to what we see before us today can be put down to what some may call growing up, a journey, finding yourself. I call it rebellion.

Rihanna has been known to say in the past that when she started she was controlled by everyone, her record label and management and so on. She felt she wasn't been true to herslef and her fans, she wanted to show them the real her, not the manufactured cute girl that burst on the scene with pon de replay in 2005.

Well she has succeeded, she is a woman of 24 years old, no one can tell her how to dress, where to go and what to do, well thats unless she was living in a communist / dictatorhsip country.

What concerns me about Rihanna, is that as a fan, and i am 21 year's old, she is one of the rare superstars that appeal to a global audience -  all ages and both male and female. She has a huge fan base, with almost 15 million twitter followers and growing, thats more than the president of United States!

Riri as she is also known is a sex symbol of our time, just like marilyn monroe 50 years ago. Being so overly sexed in music videos and on stage, i am not surprised why some view her as a bad role model for her younger fans. Primary school kids listen to her music, her songs also have highly sexual content. Her personal life has not helped either. She has been surrounded by controversy recently after teaming up with her ex Chris Brown, the rnb star battered Rihanna in his car three years ago.

All seems to be water under the bridge, as she announced that she will be collaborating with him on her track birthday cake from the album Talk That Talk, which features explicit words, concerning the act of sexual behaviour. There has also been rumours that the two may get back together, but i doubt that is likely since Chris Brown is blissfully happy with girlfriend and model Karruche Tran, whom has been rumoured to have moved in with Brown.

Despite all this, Rihanna, has been known to have a dangerous side, seeking excitement. She is the new wild child, but surprisingly, a wild child with all round appeal. Majority love her, if not i'm sure her career wouldnt be going from strength to strength.

The images below show her transformation from fresh faced teen to global sex siren with an addiction to tattoos and minimal clothing. Well if you got it flaunt it, i say. Lets just hope she maintains a level head and does not have a public melt down, like Britney Spears did a few years back. After all we are all human.
